Finally updating!

I'm such a slacker when it comes to updating my blogger, but I seriously never have time. School is forever kicking my butt to the point I'm having to pull 36-48 hours of not getting sleep, in order to stay caught up on my school work and making sure that everything gets finished and I'm prepared for tests. Truthfully, this is the most butt kicking schedule I've ever had. Luckily for me, it will all be worth it in the end. At least that's what I keep telling myself. Needless to say, I apologize for the lack of updates.

Is it just me, or does anyone else absolutely love the television shows "Amazing Wedding Cakes" and "Say Yes To The Dress"? I have like, this huge obsession with both to the point it makes me excited about getting married, despite all the negativity that everyone says about marriage. Not to mention, I think it's a great way to start getting ideas on a certain style of dress, as well as, different types of cake ideas. Then again, I've always been the type of person to search around for wedding dresses, even when I was around the age of 15, knowing I wouldn't be getting married anytime soon. Haha.

I hope everyone is doing well.
Have a great rest of the week and Labor Day!

M.I.A.

I apologize for being gone and not being able to update. Last week was a pretty hectic week and I stayed busy for the most part with helping my grandparent's out and getting some things done before having to go back to school in two weeks. I'm definitely not looking forward to that, but the sooner I return, the sooner I'll be able to graduate.

I've gained two pounds, which isn't too bad, considering how much I've been eating these past few days. Although we're going to the beach for the weekend, I'm positive that I can control my eating habits. No more junk food for me. Two pounds won't be hard to lose, so I'm more than ready to start exercising, eating healthy, and just getting back on the right track.

I hope that everyone is doing well.

Weekend Recap.

My grandmother is doing much better than the last time I posted. Her medication helped out a lot, so I'm glad to see her up and moving around again.

As far as the weekend goes, it didn't go like I had planned it to be. I was suppose to hangout with a good friend of mine, but she changed her mind to go do other things. Needless to say, it quickly became a weekend that involved spending a little extra time with my grandparent's. I spent a lot of time going out to eat and shopping with my grandmother, so that was quite fun. I'm back to being broke, but it definitely was worth it.

I was able to get a few things for school (planner, notebook, paper, etc), two gorgeous bras from Kohl's that were on clearance, makeup remover towelettes, and an adorable zebra print sheet and pillow case for my bed.

While I was gone, I won an award from Sarah (http://creatingsarah.blogspot.com/). That made me quite happy, since it's my first award. Thank you, Sarah.

Prayers.

I've been on the run all day. As soon as I woke up, my grandmother came in begging for me to take her to the doctor. By her telling me this, I knew something was wrong. She's the type of person that refuses to go to the doctor unless she absolutely has to. Anyways, the doctor was worried and wants to see her back in a week. In the mean time, he gave her a prescription and told us that if it doesn't help, we need to take her to the er. He should let us know within' a week on whether or not he wants to do a cat scan.

I just can't get it out of my head that something is wrong. Maybe it's just a horrible migraine or her sinuses are out of control, but it could be something totally different. All I can do right now is sit and wait to see if the medication is going to work. I'm praying that it will, because I have no idea what I would do if something happened to my grandmother all of a sudden. My grandparent's took me in when I was a child, and thinking about everything just makes me cry. I know we all leave this world one day, but I can't handle that anytime soon.

Keep her in your prayers, please.

Recap.

So the weekend was pretty decent. I didn't do too much due to the hot weather, but we did go bowling, so that quite fun. We ended up winning free tickets to go watch the Carolina Mudcats. I never heard of them in my life, but apparently they're a minor league baseball team. It seemed like I was the only one that has never heard of them, so I felt out of place when everyone was cheering about the prize, ha ha. I'm not a baseball fan, but I wouldn't mind going just to see what all the craze is about.

I've come to the conclusion that I need to start working out again, because I have been slacking way too much. Some way or another, I'm still losing weight and toning up, but I believe it would be so much better to get a few exercises in. Not to mention, I'm sure I would start feeling a lot better. That's my new goal for this week, start exercising again. Sounds like a pretty decent goal to me. :)

It's the weekend!

Wow, this is the third day in a row with the temperature hitting the 110-112 mark. According to the news, it's suppose to reach 112, or it could even go a little higher. At least it's keeping me inside the house so I can get a few extra things done that I've been meaning to do, but only keep pushing to the side. Haha!

Luckily, I'll be able to get out of the house later on tonight. We're suppose to be going bowling, so that should be fun. Truth be told, I'm the person you see having to use the bumpers. Otherwise, my ball will go all over the place. The last I recall, it went into the other lane beside us. I definitely don't want that happening again.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Girls just want to have fun.

Yesterday was such a good day. I haven't had that much fun in quite some time now. It's amazing how your mood can change so quickly from spending the day with your best friend. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love being around my family and boyfriend, but I also enjoy having time to myself to just get away from everything.

I'd go into details about the day, but that would take forever. Long story short though, a lot of new memories and inside jokes were made. Not to mention, I think we laughed so much at just about everything to where we couldn't laugh anymore without making our stomachs hurt. Those are definitely times that you never forget.

As much fun as the day was, I'm ready to see the surprise my boyfriend bought for me. The only hint that I was able to get out of him was the color, which is pink. That doesn't help me at all with guessing. I'm sure I'll love it no matter what.
